1st Iligan Docu-making Video Competition - "Discarte Iligan" and Diyandi Festival 2010 Photo Contest

Iligan City, through the City Tourism Office and the 2010 Diyandi Festival Executive Management Board, launched its first Iligan Docu-making Video Competition dubbed "Discarte Iligan" during this year's Diyandi Festival. The objective of the Docu-making video is to create a 15- to 20-minute film that would promote the Diyandi Festival sa Iligan. The judging of entries was held on October 12, 2010 at 9:00 in the morning at the MSU-IIT Mini-Theater. A total of five (5) entries were judged.
The winners are as follows :
1st Place - Entry #5 "Color. Rhythm. Dance"

Two special awards were also given. Best Editing went to Entry #1 and Best Cinematography went to Entry #5.
Simultaneous with the Docu-making Competition, the Diyandi Festival 2010 Photo Contest was also launched. There were three categories for the photo contest, namely 1) Kasadya, 2) Pagpakanaug, Procession and other Religious and Cultural Activities Category, and 3) Other Events. There were a total of 400 entries, submitted by 86 photographers, both professional and amateurs. A photo exhibit was held at Ma.Cristina Hotel also on October 12, 2010 at 9:00 in the morning.
The awarding of winners was held on the same day at 4:00 in the afternoon at MSU-IIT Mini-Theater.
